Craft has always been my lifelong passion. I started playing with beads as a kid, and eventually that grew into a full-on obsession with jewellery of all mediums. I completed training as a goldsmith at George Brown College in 2015, and did subsequent study in Gemmology at the Canadian Gemmological Association in 2016. After working as a bench jeweller for other businesses for several years,  I launched LOLA Jewellery in 2019 and the business continues to expand every year.

 

I now work exclusively out of my home studio in Alexandria, Ontario. I use traditional metalsmithing techniques like soldering, forging, sawing, polishing, enamelling, wire-working, etching and texturing to achieve striking pieces using sterling silver, gold fill, copper, and precious gemstones. 

 

The inspiration for my pieces comes from my appreciation for precious and semi precious metals and gemstones. I am also an avid seed bead enthusiast and I enjoy the meditative process of creating these interesting and colorful mini tapestries. As of late I have been experimenting with the art of enamelling on copper. I love to learn new skills and continue to grow my collection with every passing year!
